Dr Manoja Kalupahana

Dr Manoja Kalupahana is an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist, medical leader and governance professional with over 18 years of experience in New Zealand's public and private healthcare sectors.

At Health New Zealand, Waitematā, Manoja has contributed to clinical governance, medical recruitment, anaesthetic service development and strategic leadership through her involvement in the Senior Medical Advisory Committee and Executive of the Anaesthetic Department

Alongside her public healthcare role, Manoja is a Director and Specialist Anaesthetist in private practice, with expertise in urological and robotic anaesthesia. She also serves as an Anaesthetic Advisor to Mobile Health Group, focusing on clinical governance, credentialing and patient safety. Manoja has a number of other governance and committee roles.

Manoja's recent appointment to the Medical Council of New Zealand reflects her commitment to professional standards, medical education and the wellbeing of doctors.

Manoja has completed the Institute of Directors' Company Directors' Course and is currently working towards her Chartered Director qualification.

She is passionate about combining clinical expertise, strategic leadership and effective governance to improve healthcare outcomes and support the medical profession.
